Too cool for school

How would you teach, if you had one of these?

  1. Undoubtedly cool. What would be even better would be if we could have the same software on a whiteboard. Instead of fingers, you could hold a marker in each hand. I would love to run a Geography lesson with that map demo, zooming in on the map with just a sweep of my hands!

  2. WOW! I would love one of these – tell me more please –
    important question – How much?

  3. ….and it appears so intuitive. Maybe one way to avoid the technology getting in the way of what you want to do? So how long before we see thses at BETT do you reckon ;o)

  4. I’m not sure how but I do know I’d never have to worry about losing my board pen or a student taking it. I’d love to give it a try thats for certain. My school is going fresh start next year where do i get info as this is the time we would look for new technology?

  5. Yes, my fingers itch every time I watch the demo. Here’s my source of information you can see that currently it is only an experiment. In fact, there are two separate innovations here. One is the software that acknowledges multiple location inputs simultaneously. The other is the paricular type of screen. In theory the software component could work with just two standard mice, though it wouldn’t look as groovy.

  6. Utterly beautiful. The keyboard could be redundant as an interface. Mine keeps mispelling my tipig. Seriously, can you imagine one of these in PMLD?

  7. This would give my student the edge they need to participate in education, at a level they can cope with. It looks so interesting, even I, a profound non gadget user would enjoy trying this one out.
How much, and what are its limits ?

  8. I’d seen this clip before Ian and then as now I though “WOW”. It reminds me of the brilliant program called Dasher which if you have not seen, I urge you to look at. It is an awe-inspiring piece of software which if coupled with that shown in this clip would offer mind-blowing potential!
